The Griswold’s meet their match in Marion County,KY – Christmas lights at Ruley’s Santa Land

When I read about a house in Marion County that has over a MILLION Christmas lights on display on their property I knew that I had to tell you all about it! It is called Ruley’s Santa Land, located on Stringtown Road. The farm is 4 acres and started out with 300 lights which if you think about that number is pretty in check. Heck a small strand of lights has 100. So that doesn’t seem too crazy. What does boggle the mind is that the Ruley family, who used to be in the dairy farming business, has more than

Chances are if you are reading this today, you are blessed in one way or another. I am guessing that you and your family might not have everything you want but your needs are met. Review: A Christmas Story

Last Friday night I was privileged to attend the opening night of the play “A Christmas Story.” The play was put on by the Shelby County Community Theater. I really wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was a great show! Performance times for all shows (unless otherwise noted) Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. Ticket prices are as follows:  Adults $15, Seniors (62+) $12, Students $10. It doesn’t list anything for children so that is a good question to ask! I went with a good friend of mine and we made
