Holiday Designer Show House at Chestnut Hall – December 2-10, 11a-7p,12611 W HWY 42 Prospect KY 40059. The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation will open the doors of the historic house, once again, at TRF Sanctuary at Chestnut Hall this December with a Holiday Designer Show House to benefit the organization’s herd of nearly 450 retired racehorses. The historic farmhouse will be grandly decorated inside and out with exquisite décor by Cherry House Galleries, KP Design, Hound & Hare LLC, Jason Jennings Interior, Debhelin Designs, Living Spaces, Little Mount Lavender Company, Julia Carstanjen, Mandeline Hetzel Interiors, and All Lit Up. This event is being staffed by volunteers and friends of the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation. The historic farmhouse will be grandly decorated inside and out with exquisite décor by Cherry House Galleries, KP Design, Hound & Hare LLC, Jason Jennings Interior, Debhelin Designs, Living Spaces, Little Mount Lavender Company, Julia Carstanjen, Mandeline Hetzel Interiors, and All Lit Up. This event is being staffed by volunteers and friends of the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation. The event will run from Friday, December 2nd through December 10th and the house will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. This year’s event has been expanded to include the entire farmhouse and the barn. Tickets are $25 in advance or for $30 at the door. Kicking off the nine-day event, will be a Preview Night Party on Thursday, December 1, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, seasonal entertainment, an exclusive tour of the historic farm hour and an opportunity to meet some of our designers. Tickets for the Preview event are $75. 

Willy Wonka Kids – December 2nd at 10:00 am and 7:00 pm; December 3rd 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus – Dec 2 – 11, 7:30 (Friday and Saturdays) & 2:00pm (Sundays), Highview Arts Center, 7406 Fegenbush Lane, Louisville KY 40228. Highview Arts Center is delighted to present Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus by Jamie Gorski. Based on true events, eight-year-old Virginia O’Hanlon wrote a letter to the editor of New York’s Sun, and the quick response was printed as an unsigned editorial Sept. 21, 1897. Yes, Virginia follows two individuals on their journey to find if Santa Claus is indeed, real. Eight-year-old Virginia is left pondering whether or not Santa really exists after a series of unhappy events. $15 General Admission | $12 Student/ Senior.
