Hillbilly Days (Pikeville) 
April 18-20

Be sure to come and enjoy one of the state’s largest festivals. Since 1977, Pike County, Kentucky has been celebrating Hillbilly Days. Three live stages of free entertainment, featuring a wide variety of music genres, clogging and square dancing. Men, women and youngsters pick and grin while trying to outdo each other with their wild hillbilly outfits.This annual event serves as a fundraiser to benefit the Shriners’ Children’s Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Held in downtown Pikeville.

 

Foodstock Festival (Somerset)
April 20

Foodstock Festival is a day of food, music, and art in downtown Somerset, KY from 11 am-9 pm. Admission is FREE, however, if you want to purchase alcoholic beverages you must buy a $5 spirit wristband at one of our entrance gates. Many downtown businesses will be open during the festival. Don’t miss the popular Busker Music Contest within the festival area.

Spring Plow Days (Campbellsville)
April 20 
Spring Plow Day Music and Craft Festival is fun for the whole family! Held at Homeplace on the Green River, the morning starts off with old-fashioned mule and horse plow teams and contests. The remainder of the day until 3:00pm is filled with tons of games and activity for kids and families, like The 4-H Activity barn and petting farm, pony rides, barrel train rides, hay rides and more.  In the later afternoon till 9:00 pm, we’ll have music on the lawn, so bring a chair and a blanket if you like!  
White Squirrel Arts Fest (Bowling Green)
April 19-21 
White Squirrel Arts Fest is a full weekend offering entertainment, arts activities, workshops, readings, and vendors in downtown Bowling Green, utilizing the new Downtown Entertainment District!

Beginning Friday at 5 p.m., kick off the WSAF weekend with a concert at White Squirrel Brewery, then on Saturday, downtown Bowling Green becomes an art and book lover’s paradise with over 40 vendors in Circus Square Park, arts activities along Heritage Trail, and student art vendors in Fountain Square Park, all set to the sounds of some of BG’s best musicians.

 

Boyle County Earth Day Festival (Danville)
April 20 

Join us for the annual Earth Day Celebration, including over 30 local and state exhibitors, live music, food vendors, and children’s activities. This year’s international Earth Day theme is Planet vs Plastics. The Festival is being held from 11:00-3:00 pm under the pavilion behind the Extension Office. 

 

Spring Fling Art Festival (Lawrenceburg)
April 20 

 The 8th annual Spring Fling Art Festival at Art Alley and Frame Clinic takes place from 11:00 am-2:00 pm on April 20. With a vibrant celebration showcasing a diverse array of artistic expressions, immerse yourself in the world of creativity as talented artists display their skills in woodworking, stained glass, ceramics, jewelry, photography, resin art, metalwork, painting, and more.
Bluegrass, Brews & BBQ Festival (Grand Rivers)
April 27 & 28
Come enjoy the best Bluegrass bands in the industry, award-winning BBQ and other food vendors, local distillery, winery, and breweries, plus amazing craft and retail vendors. The event is held at Little Lake Park located in Grand Rivers on Payne Street.
BBQ & Barrels (Owensboro) 
April 26 & 27
13th Annual Spring Chicken Festival held on April 26-27, 2024 in beautiful  Clinton, Kentucky on the picturesque Court Square of Hickman County.  The schedule of Events will be posted on this site as well as forms for the 5K, kids fun run, vendors and Wild Wing Cook-Off.

Cherry Blossom Festival (Munfordville)
April 27 
The Cherry Blossom Festival will take place in Courthouse Square in Munfordville. Join the festival fun from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and enjoy food, a petting zoo, ax throwing, bounce houses, arts and craft vendors and lots more.

Mule & Draft Horse Days (Dawson Creek)
May 1-4

This 4-day long event features a 3 Day Wagon Trail- 15 mile loop each day, Little Mr. & Mrs. Pageant, Antique Tractor Pull & Display, Team Pulls, Parkway Saddle Club Fun Show, vendors, and a downtown parade. Primitive camping, fire pits, and picnic tables available. 

Parade will take place in Dawson Springs on Saturday at 11am. 

 

Monticello Market Downtown- Kids Fest (Monticello)
May 4

The Monticello Market Downtown is back for the 4th season in beautiful downtown Monticello! This Street Vendor Market starts at 9:00 am has something for everyone and every age. Vendors will be selling woodworking projects, jewelry, clothing items, crafts, handmade items, art work, collectibles and of course all kinds of food!

May Feature event is KIDS FEST! Lots of Free activities for kids of all ages and our most popular Touch a Truck display. Come out to let the kids see big equipment up close.

 

Paris Storytelling Festival (Paris)
May 10-12

The annual Paris Storytelling Festival is held in the beautiful and architecturally significant towns of Paris and Carlisle, Kentucky, surrounded by charming Bluegrass horse farms and historical culture. The festival is geared to the old and the new, bringing together counties steeped in tradition yet open to the youth of tomorrow. Stories, music, history and hospitality abound as the communities come together to celebrate and share their love of story.

 

Mayfest Arts Fair (Lexington)
May 11-12

Mayfest Arts Fair presented by Central Bank returns to Gratz Park on Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.!

Mayfest is a juried art fair with a focus on a casual, family-friendly atmosphere.  Included are up to 100 Artist Vendors, performances by musicians, dancers, strolling performers, food concession vendors, and family activities. 

 

BBQ & Barrels (Owensboro)
May 10 & 11

Guests can enjoy the Backyard BBQ Cookoff, church cooking teams, live music, carnival rides, and more barbecue vendors than you have ever seen in downtown Owensboro- all open to the general public! The Owensboro Convention Center is the home of the “Barrels,” offering ticketed bourbon tastings, food pairings, and educational classes.

 

Berheim BloomFest (Clermont)
May 18 

Bernheim’s annual celebration of spring, held from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm,  is free. This free event includes tons of great activities for children of all ages, including arts and crafts, garden faerie house construction, naturalist-led discovery stations, and musical entertainment.

May 17 – 19
Friday is a pre-party at Sky Bridge Station with a film screening of our NEW Upper Red River Cleanup mini-documentary, Q&A, & live music. Saturday & Sunday is at Clay City Park with fun 4-mile floats on the Clay City Loop, live music, water experts, outdoor recreation gurus, local non-profits, vendors (food, West 6th, art/crafts), rock climbing wall, corn hole tournament, prizes, etc. We will be utilizing the AmVets building adjacent to Clay City Park as the RAIN PLAN so we can host the event rain or shine.
