Harrodsburg is southwest of Lexington and home to Old Fort Harrod. This state park has a full-scale replica of forts, houses and cabins that all take you back in time to see how our pioneers lived.  They have a museum, monuments and even the Lincoln Marriage Temple which is part of the Lincoln Heritage Trail.

This weekend, they will host their annual Holiday Open House on November the 19th from 6-8 p.m. Families can tour the fort that will be decorated for the holidays with period lanterns. Santa will be sitting fireside in one of the blockhouses to hear from the children and grant some Christmas wishes.

This unique event is free and you can even enjoy some cider and cookies.
