Family Bingo (Carrollton)
Carroll County Library 
Thursday, April 18 
Children, teams and families are invited to Family Bingo at the Carroll County Library from 3:30-5:00 pm. Fun prizes are up for grabs and light refreshments will be served. 

 

Kenton County Library
The library has a Bookworm on the loose, gobbling up all the delicious stories from the books. Giant puppets, storytelling and music come together at Noon to save the irresistible tales from the Bookworm.Free Events in April

Kids are admitted free and get a chance to win their own bikes, Power Wheels and other rides during intermission! Hot laps start at 6:00 pm and races are at 7:00 pm

 

Picnic in the Park Free Family Event (Burlington)

Saturday, April 27
The whole family is invited to enjoy a day of food, music, dancing, games and prizes. The event is hosted by Charhonda Gaines at Huff Realty and Sophy Kdep at Prosperity Home Mortgage. RSVP by texting “picnic in the park” with your name to 859-816-5626 by April 25th to be entered for a chance to win the grand prize.

Tween Styrofoam Printing (Pikeville)

Tuesday, April 9
Tweens, ages 9-12, are invited to the Pike County Library to learn the basics of styrofoam printmaking. Starting at 5:30 pm, the workshop will all the kids to create their own designs! 

 

Story Time- Disney Party (Ashland)
Boyd Co. Public Library – Midland Branch
Tuesday, April 23
Dress up as your favorite Disney character and enjoy a concert full of Disney favorites, put on by the Fairview High School Band! The festivities start at 11:00 am

 

Morehead Kentucky Proud Expo (Morehead)
Morehead Conference Center
Friday, April 26 – Saturday, April 27
Find more than 30 vendors offering all the best Kentucky Proud products at Morehead Conference Center on the 26th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and from 10:00 am-4:00 pm on the 27th. Come check out beer cheese, wines, wood working, and much more!


Teen Cupcake Decorating (Pikeville)

Saturday, April 27
Teens, ages 23-18, are invited to the Pike County Library to learn how to make a cake out of cupcakes. Make it look like other types of food or a scene of your choice. The sweet fun starts at 3:00 pm.

4th Annual Cruising Down on the Farm (Danville)
3161 Alum Springs Rd.
Friday, April 12 – Saturday, April 13
On Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm families can enjoy food vendors, kids games, bounce houses and music from DJ Mike Tussey. There will be a monster truck old school car crush and dance, and limbo contest.  The fun continutes at 3 pm on Saturday. Lots of cars, prizes and drawings will keep things exciting.  The event is free. Monster Truck rides are $10. 

Shelbyville Dogwood Artisan Showcase (Shelbyville)
Shelby County Fairgrounds
Saturday, April 20
This community celebration highlights the importance of arts and education in the Shelby County. Festivities begin at 10 am with 100 artisans, crafters, food trucks, and small businesses celebrating art, boutiques and flavors of Kentucky! There will be a petting zoo and face painting for kids!

 

Kids Club Family Day (Lexington)
Keeneland
Sunday, April 21
The Keeneland Kids Club is the Official Kids Club for Keeneland fans 12 and younger. One day during each race meet, Kids Club members and their families are invited to enjoy a special day at the races by receiving free general admission and access to reserved grandstand seating in Sections A & B when they present their membership cards at the admission gates.
Children’s activities will take place in the North Terrace from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and include face painting and activities with local community partners such as The Explorium, Kentucky Horse Park, Eckert’s Orchard, Kentucky Children’s Hospital, and Amplify! A sweet treat from Hoggy’s Ice Cream will be available for Kids Club members!

 

Western

Pedal in Paducah (Paducah)
McCracken County Public Library
Saturday, April 13
Grab your bike and gather with riders of all levels to tour some of Paducah’s most notable spots in this series of laid-back, leisurely-paced, family-friendly rides. The ride starts at 2:00 pm and are about 10 miles long. No rider is left behind. The ride starts and finishes in the library parking lot. Helmets are required

 

FREE Outdoor Movie Night (Madisonville)
Madisonville City Park 
Friday, April 19
The City of Madisonville invites you to a free “Drive-In” movie event on April 19. Join them for a showing of Grease at the Madisonville City Park beginning at 7:00 pm. Free admission, free drinks and free popcorn!


Family Story Time (Murray)
Calloway County Public Library
Saturday, April 20
The library’s multi-age family story time is a fun-filled half-hour program featuring books, songs and activities for children ages 1-6. Featured Books:Hooray for Fish! by Lucy Cousins, I’m the Biggest Thing in the Ocean by Kevin Sherry and Solomon Crocodile by Catherine Rayner. This program starts at 10:30 am and is designed for children and accompanying adults. 


Touch-A-Truck (Owensboro)

Saturday, April 20

The Daviess County Parks & Recreation Department is hosting a fun new event this year for kids of all ages to explore big machines of all shapes and sizes. County trucks, construction equipment, and emergency vehicles will all be there to touch, sit in, pretend with, and learn about how they work. A couple of Blackhawk Helicopters will be there too. The first hour, starting at 11:00 am, will be sensory friendly to be inclusive to anyone who wants to join the fun, but doesn’t like loud noise and bright flashing lights. If you like the lights and sirens, those can be demonstrated for the remainder of the time.
