Independence Day in Kentucky is upon us and we are ready to cheer on some great parades, enjoy some great food, and see some bright fireworks displays. 4th of July around Kentucky is in full swing and we have found some of the best events around the state for you and your family.

Eastern Kentucky
Berea
4th of July Spectacular – Activities start at 6:00PM and Fireworks at 10:00PM. Celebrate with food, live music, kids activities and fireworks.
Ashland
Summer Motion –2:00 pm – Gates Open
Carnival, Food Vendors, Children’s Inflatables, Games, Specialty Booths. 7:00 pm free concerts start. 8:00 pm – Patriotic Tribute. 10:15 pm – Fireworks
Central Kentucky
6 pm – 11 pm Summertime fun, music and food are all part of the Fort Knox Fourth of July Celebration which is scheduled to happen on July 4 at Brooks Field here starting at 6 p.m. The general public is invited to join us for this free event as we celebrate 246 years of freedom and pay tribute to the brave men and women of the Armed Forces. Fireworks show begins at 10:05 p.m.

Frankfort
Frankfort VFW Post 4075 – The fireworks display will take place downtown, as in previous years, with the launch site being located off of Taylor Avenue and US 127. Frankfort residents and visitors will be able to view the display from downtown Frankfort. The show will begin at approximately 9:45 PM.
Lexington
Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks Celebration Main St (downtown) 11:30 a.m.
The Fourth of July parade steps off at 11:30 a.m. and will move down Main Street from Midland to Mill Street. There will be plenty of red, white and blue to get everyone in the patriotic spirit. Prizes will be awarded.
Fireworks at 10 p.m. End your Fourth of July celebration with a bang! The fireworks spectacular will start at approximately 10 p.m.
Western Kentucky
Celebrate the 4th of July with your family at Kentucky Down Under Open regular hours on the 4th of July 9 am to 5 pm Central Time
Paducah
The event will take place on the riverfront in historic downtown Paducah. Enjoy fireworks, a concert, and food vendors.
Food vendors, set up in the downtown Farmers’ Market Pavilion area, will start serving by 5 p.m. Enjoy a concert on Wilson Stage featuring J.D. Shelburne from 7:30 until 9 with a meet and greet before the concert from 5 until 7 p.m. The City has contracted with Cincinnati-based Arthur Rozzi Pyrotechnics for a fireworks show that will begin after the concert ends at approximately 9:05.
Murray
Freedom Fest – Celebrate Independence Day in Murray, Kentucky, July 1-4 with Freedom Fest! Family fun and patriotic spirit awaits you during this jam-packed weekend of events. The FNB Bank Freedom Fest Parade marches down Main Street at 9:30 am, on July 4, as locals and visitors line the streets. This year, the parade will have a special guest of the 202nd Army Band of the Kentucky National Guard! Freedom Fest goes out with a bang during everyone’s favorite event, The Murray Bank Fireworks Extravaganza at 9:00 pm.
