My family loves picking local fruits, so every summer we try to get in some time for strawberry and blueberry picking. On recommendation by a friend, we tried a new blueberry place this year called Blues End Farm. The farm is in Shelbyville, just about 30 minutes from Louisville just a few miles from I-64. Chaney’s Dairy Barn is a gem of a place with some of the BEST ice cream in all of Kentucky. There’s a new butterfly experience coming to the Louisville Zoo. Starting May 20, Zoo guests can experience over 600 native butterflies and moths sipping nectar from flowers in a 1000 sq. ft. outdoor flight house located across from the bongo exhibit. Butterfly species will include monarchs, swallowtails, painted ladies and dozens more over the course of the summer season.
