Blueberry picking at Blues End Farm in Shelbyville

My family loves picking local fruits, so every summer we try to get in some time for strawberry and blueberry picking. On recommendation by a friend, we tried a new blueberry place this year called Blues End Farm. The farm is in Shelbyville, just about 30 minutes from Louisville just a few miles from I-64. Star Wars Night in Ashland

We’ve learned about this great opportunity for Kentucky families.   If you need financial assistance for child medical care costs, you can apply for a UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) grant. You do NOT need to have UnitedHealthcare Insurance to be eligible.  Here’s some basic information: Grants help pay for a child’s health care treatments, services or equipment not covered, or not fully covered, by a commercial health insurance plan. New this Spring: Butterflies at the Louisville Zoo

There’s a new butterfly experience coming to the Louisville Zoo. Starting May 20, Zoo guests can experience over 600 native butterflies and moths sipping nectar from flowers in a 1000 sq. ft. outdoor flight house located across from the bongo exhibit. Butterfly species will include monarchs, swallowtails, painted ladies and dozens more over the course of the summer season.
